Hello...
My name is Henry. I have a lot to say. I voice what I can't or won't say out load via internet. I love graphic albums. Music is my gateway drug. I watch House M.D. I am a joker and a midnight blogger.

Stalk me if you will.

This is more for me about putting Batman/Bruce Wayne through my own, and my collaborators’ version, of the ultimate test of who and what he is. So far I’ve had him overcome the Devil, Madness and Death; now we see him, truly lost, amnesiac, and stripped down to basic human survival mode in some extremely hostile environments and unfamiliar situations. He’s the best fighter in his world, he’s one of the smartest and most driven men who ever lived, but we’ve seen him outwit the Joker 10,000 times. This was a way of taking the character off the grid, as they say, and reminding readers what kind of man he is and what he’s capable of. If you wonder why Batman is so cool — here’s why Batman is so cool.

This is an attempt to look at a very familiar character from some unusual angles. And it’s about Bruce and who he is — I want to remind people how the man and the mask are inseparable parts of a terrifying whole.

Now I’d buy that for a dollar.

Youtube sensation "Fred" to have feature film released in November 2010 →

danhacker:

This makes me angry. I know Fredis one of the biggest things on youtube (drawing in around 3 million views per episode) but let’s not forget youtube is 90% useless crap. Typically the most popular things on youtube are always terrible, and Fred is a perfect case in point. That’s why it’s absolutely astounding that this abortion of creativity, “Fred” is getting his own feature film (which will hit theaters in November next year).

There is already one mindless, high-pitched abomination wreaking havoc in american cinemas. Stealing away people’s hard-earned money, and that is ‘Alvin and the chipmunks’. Seems like that property has already saturated the market for a properties like that. I see no reason that “Fred” needs a feature film.

(btw if you don’t know who Fred is, go watch some of his videos and you will instantly learn you are capable of delving into new levels of hatred that you didn’t know were even possible.)

These YouTube stars really take themselves seriously.  YouTube stars have been the but end of jokes for everything.  Yeah a billion people know and have seen you, on YouTube.  Lately I’ve tried to not criticize everything or anything, that isn’t intended for me.  Like “Twilight”, it’s a bad movie and really cheesy stuff, but it wasn’t geared towards me.  I can’t really knock it because it’s for the 12 year old girls.  In six years from now they will be 18 year old girls… You have to think long term.

Earth One Batman by Gary Frank
In case you missed it, DC Comics quietly announced on their Blog The Source that next year they would start producing original graphic novels featuring Earth One characters. The first OGNs will be Batman: Earth One by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank, and Superman: Earth One by J. Michael Straczynski and artist, Shane Davis.
Setting these OGNs on Earth One makes them continuity free and easy for new readers to pick up without having to know years of backstory.
What’s more interesting is DC’s creative choice to make these OGNs and not ongoing series. It’s a smart way to get around all-star creators who are notorious for missing publication dates (a major problem that plagued DC’s recent All-Star line).
I’m also looking forward to seeing how Gary Frank handles art duties on a Batman title, since most of his DC work has been heavily focused on Superman.
